At th
e start of a very long day that will involve fifty foreign leaders and officials meeting at the presidential palace and participating in the silent march through Paris, Roger Cukierman spoke briefly in the courtyard of the Elysee Palace to demand strong measures ” because we are in a war situation”
He was accompanied by Chief Rabbi of France Korsia Haim, the president of the Israelite Consistory Joel Mergui France as well as leaders of the United Jewish Welfare Fund, the Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF), the Foundation for the Memory of the Holocaust and the Holocaust Memorial.

“We must also work on networks (television) satellites broadcasting hatred of Jews on Arab networks and we must also fight against prisons being used as jihadist training places,”
And “We demand that all those who are suspected to be jihadists in this country are subject to preventive measures, maybe remand, or even forced to wear electronic bracelets”, continued the president of the CRIF
Government, former presidents and prime ministers and French leaders and foreign officials then proceed to the Élysée Palace at 15:00 before joining the rally that has already been described as historical”.
