infopalUn parlamentare palestinese, Issa Qaraqi’, ha lanciato un allarme: le autorità carcerarie israeliane stanno sperimentando droghe pericolose sui detenuti palestinesi.
La denuncia è stata avviata a seguito del deteriorarsi delle condizioni di salute di un certo numero di prigionieri palestinesi.
"Molti prigionieri – spiega Qaraqi’ -, hanno mostrato segni di avvelenamento". Il deputato accusa Israele di portare avanti esperimenti medici sui carcerati palestinesi con la complicità della polizia penitenziaria.
In un comunicato diramato in questi giorni, Qaraqi’ denuncia la morte in carcere di 14 palestinesi in sette anni, dovuta al peggioramento delle condizioni di salute.
Il comunicato riporta le dichiarazioni di un membro della Knesset israeliana, che in passato aveva fatto parte di un Comitato scientifico parlamentare, secondo cui ogni anno venivano condotti ben 1000 esperimenti con medicinali pericolosi su prigionieri palestinesi. Esperimenti che, fino ad ora, non sembrano cessati.

Riportiamo qui di seguito la denuncia di Friends of Humanity International, un’organizzazione umanitaria con sede a Vienna.
Friends of Humanity International ha pubblicato mercoledì scorso, 14 febbraio, un comunicato stampa dal titolo: "Dottori israeliani al servizio dei carcerieri".
La pubblicazione mette in luce gli abusi perpetrati da medici israeliani in violazione dell’etica professionale e il loro trattamento abusivo nei confronti dei prigionieri palestinesi. Inoltre, il documento focalizza l’attenzione sull’agonia fisica sperimentata da prigionieri nei centri di detenzione israeliani.
L’Organizzazione rivela nella pubblicazione che i medici danno un sostegno consistente alle squdre militari e di sicurezza israeliane nelle pratiche di tortura contro i prigioneri per estorcere confessioni.
Friends of Humanity sottolinea che i medici in servizio presso le strutture carcerarie israeliane sono affiliati all’esercito e alle autorità carcerarie e non a fondazioni mediche civili. Il fatto che il medico in servizio indossi divise militari crea barriere tra lui e il suo paziente prigioniero, che identifica dottore e carceriere.
Questa ricerca è stata pubblicata poco dopo la morte del prigioniero palestinese Jamal Saraheen, deceduto qualche settimana fa nel carcere del Negev, nel deserto, e delle altre morti durante il periodo di carcerazione e immediatamente successivo al rilascio, come risultato della politica di negligenza medica intenzionale praticata dall’esercito isrealiano e dalle autorità carcerarie, oltre alle disumane condizioni sanitarie vigenti nelle prigioni israeliane.

Some weeks following the passing away of prisoner Saraheen a PowerPoint publication on the professional violations perpetrated by the Israeli doctors is released. Media release titled "Israeli Doctor in Service of the Jailer" Friends of Humanity International published on Wednesday, 14 February a media release titled "Israeli Doctor in Service of the Jailer" . The new publication highlights the abuses perpetrated by the Israeli doctors in violation of the profession’s ethics and their abusive treatment of the Palestinian prisoners. It also brings in focus the physical agony experienced by the prisoners at the Israeli detention centres. The Organization notes in the publication that the doctors extend considerable support to the Israeli military and security squads in torturing prisoners to force out confessions. F.riends of Humanity points out that doctors serving at the Israeli jails are affiliated to the army and jails authority not to a civilian medical foundation. The fact that the doctor on duty wears his military costume generates a barrier between him and the patient prisoner who can avoid seeing the doctor and the jailer as identical. This publication is released short time following the passing away of the Palestinian prisoner Jamal Saraheen at the desert jail of Naqab and the consecutive deaths that took place among prisoners during imprisonment or after release as a result of the policy of intentional medical negligence practiced by the Israeli army and jails authority in addition to the inhumane health conditions prevailing the Israeli detention centers. The publication contains 36 slides that present texts, photos and caricatures reflecting the document’s theme. Most of the sketching was done by the Palestinian artist and former prisoner Raed Karaan The Organization notifies that those interested may use this document during the lectures and seminars conducted on the issue of the Palestinian prisoners specifically.
